Engine 1 1995 Spartan / Smeal Engine Spartan Gladiator Extruded Aluminum MFD 10” Raised Roof Cab, powered by Detroit Diesel 60series 400hp engine, Allison 4060 World Transmission, seating for six, heat and air conditioning for an auxiliary rehabilitation area. The aluminum apparatus body was built and installed by Smeal. It includes a Waterous CSY 1500gpm pump, 1000gal UPF tank, a Zimco drop down ladder and suction hose brackets. The lighting package is by Whelen Engineering.
Engine 2 1981 Oren / Refurbed 1998 Engine 2 was originally a 1981 Duplex - Oren -Grumman Pumper with an aluminum rescue style body and 2500 gal poly tank. The apparatus has a Detroit Diesel 450hp 8v92 motor and Allison Transmission, & Waterous 1250gpm Pump which was one of the first trucks in Litchfield county. It has a 18" TFT Extend a Gun for the pre-piped Stang deck gun and a Newton dump valve on the rear. The body also features an enclosed portable tank compartment and Zico drop down brackets for the ladders and suction hose. Engine 3 2009 Timberwolf Urban Interface Pumper/Rosenbauer Engine 3 is a 2009 International 7400 5 man cab 310 HP 4 x 4 Timberwolf Urban Interface pumper manufactured by Rosenbauer. This unit carries 750 gallons of water, 30 gallons class "A" foam, Rosenbauer NH-40 PTO 1000 gallon per minute pump. It has both normal and high pressure (600 psi) operations. It has pump & roll capabilities with a cab operated front bumper turret.
This unit was purchased thru the FEMA program At no cost to the local taxpayers that it now services.
Rescue 1 1993 International / PL Custom Body - Rescue 1
International 4900 powered by DT466 250hp engine, Allison HT 643 transmission, seating for six, heat and air conditioning for rehabilitation area, extruded aluminum rescue body, 25kw Winco generator, Hurst extrication equipment. This vehicle also carries first responder medical equipment, cold-water rescue equipment, and rappelling equipment. The lighting package is by Whelen Engineering.
