Donations

Unlike other towns, residents of the Town of Litchfield do not have to endure the hardship of the increased tax dollars required to support a paid fire department. While we do receive a small stipend from the town that is the equivalent of about one paid firefighter, the majority of our operating expenditures are driven out of grants, fundraising, and your very generous donations. Each active member of our fire department is an unpaid volunteer who has completed hundreds of hours of rigorous state-mandated training and countless additional hours through our department’s ongoing in-house training program. As a result, the quality of the service we provide to our district and our mutual aid districts is exceptional. However, none of that would be possible without the generosity of past and present donors. We cannot thank you enough for the support you have shown this department throughout the years. 

All donations to the fire company are 100% tax deductible, and can be processed both via traditional mail or PayPal.
